The conference on introducing economic and business opportunities of Iran and India was held at Iran Chamber of Cooperatives in order to exchange the information and acquaintance of businessmen, economic cooperators and producers .
This conference was attended by Deputy of Economic and International Affairs of Iran Chamber of Cooperatives ,Deputy of the Ambassador of India, the Commercial Counselor of Indian Embassy, the Director of the Asia-Pacific of Trade Promotion Organization, the representative of Ministry of Foreign affairs and the President of Iran-India Joint Chamber of Commerce, was held in Iran Chamber of Cooperatives.
The conference was held in order to introduce the need of the Indian market, marketing of goods and services, meeting the tastes of its consumers to the businessmen, economic cooperators and producers , with representatives of the Indian Embassy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade Promotion Organization of Iran.
The Deputy of Economic and International Affairs of Iran Chamber of Cooperatives welcome attendees at the conference and also explained the investment potentials of both countries. Furthermore , the Indian Deputy Ambassador suggested the formation of joint cooperatives between both countries, emphasizing on the role of cooperation in the economy of Iran and India.
At the conference, the business situation of both countries, Iran and India, was discussed and opportunities and strengths , challenges and weaknesses in business relations of Iran and India were explained.
Using commodity exchange to circumvent banking problems, reduce trade tariffs , establish preferential tariffs and export incentives, develop and facilitate banking relations between both countries, also establish the Iran-India industrial zone in Chabahar were presented as the outlined strategies in trade relations of Iran and India.
In another part of the conference, the President of Iran-India Joint Chamber of Commerce suggested that specialized meetings to be held in order to discuss opportunities in trade relations of Iran and India , considering to India’s high potential.
It is worth mentioning that diversifying export earnings and target markets and reduce dependence on oil export earnings has always been considered due to the development and promotion of non-oil exports as a strategy for liberating the single-product economy and strengthening the economy, including markets of India which is one of Iran’s most important trading partners and also it has the largest cooperative sector in the world.
