Today Wednesday ,18 September 2019, the Deputy of Economic and International Affairs of Iran Chamber of Cooperatives negotiated with the Indian Commercial Counselor in order to promote interactions between the cooperative sector of Iran and the private and cooperative sectors of India.
Mohammad Ali Zeyghami , discussed about the capacities and potentials of the cooperative sector in Iran and the solutions of business interactions development.
Furthermore, the Indian commercial counselor, Mr.Kumar described the potentials of the cooperative sector of his country. Dispatching and accepting trade delegations between two countries and the transfer of successful experiences between cooperative sections of these countries was also a key topic at this meeting.
It ‘s worth mentioning that India is one of the most important countries in the field of cooperatives in the world. It has more than 500,000 cooperatives and 228 million members.
Also, the cooperative sector has included 100% of Indian villages and 67% of Indian households are active under the cooperative system and using the advantages of the cooperative section.
In addition, the National Union of Cooperatives of India (NCUI) is the main cooperative organization in this country, which has over 250,000 cooperatives with over 230 million members
