The joint meeting of the Deputy of Economic and International Affairs of Iran Chamber of Cooperatives with the Indonesian commercial counselor was held at Iran Chamber of Cooperatives. j
The meeting took place on July 15th and during the meeting, a brief presentation was made for the Indonesian delegation about the importance of ICC and cooperative sector of Iran. j
It’s worth mentioning that there are currently 138,000 registered cooperatives in Indonesia which work mostly in agriculture and e-commerce sector. They also contribute about 5% share of the country’s GDP. j
In this visit, the International Affairs Manager of ICC described the capacities of cooperative sector during a comprehensive report and explained the potential of this sector in order to expand the cooperation between both countries. j
Signing the memorandum of understanding between Iran Chamber of Cooperatives and the Indonesian Central Cooperative Organization (DEKOPIN) was also proposed at this meeting. j
Furthermore, in another part of the conversation, Indonesian commercial counselor was invited to attend the specialized commissions of Iran Chamber of Cooperatives. j
