A joint meeting between deputy of logistics, planning and research of Iran chamber of cooperatives and executive manager of Afghanistan national union of construction companies was held in Tehran to investigate investment opportunities in construction industry of both countries.
According to the report of Iranian chamber of cooperatives’ news agency, representatives of the Afghanistan national union of construction companies provided a report on the status of the construction industry in their country and described the use of Iranian experience and knowledge as a necessity.
Ali Moti Jahani, deputy of logistics, planning and research of Iran chamber of cooperatives, also presented detailed explanations on the status of the building and construction industry exhibition in Iran and said: “۲۵ agreements has been signed with the Afghan business delegation at the 19th International Exhibition of Building and Construction Industry and many Afghan businessmen visited the exhibition.
He continued: The construction industry has grown significantly in recent years in Iran and Afghanistan can benefit from Iran’s technical and engineering services and products development and this will be important in exporting this industry to the markets of both countries.
He also emphasized the creation of joint markets, holding civil and building exhibitions, and welcoming of trade delegations in both countries, and in line with the joint cooperation, seized the opportunity to cooperate with Iranian producers in completing Afghan civil, urban and construction projects.
Referring to the joint border and the common language of the two countries, he noted: The two countries can take advantage of this and establish a broad economic and export activity.
The meeting was followed by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to meet the needs of the construction industry between the two countries’ representatives.
